Have a cover for the boat, but with no room in the garage, and starting to work on it here and there, how many rainy days can it sit through? Its got floors, storage, etc., I know they are meant to be wet but to what extent? Can it sit through spring with no worries? Have it tilted pretty good now to drain out better than normal. Going to do my work on it, then give it a good cleaning so not concerned with tree debris and other stuff.

With the fishes health in mind for tourneys, what’s a good bubbler to put in live well? Would the simple lil ones work, got a couple of those could easily fix up but maybe a bigger one that exands the good part of the live well for maximum oxygen?
Going to get a mounting plate for the transducer to move around if need be, but of any tips for a HB 597 placement would be awesome, did it to spec last time but never worked right at high speeds, but new boat and want to get er right this time. I’m sure I’ll have more in time, always try to Google answers first but sometimes get mixed answers. Thanks guus

My fish go on ice, i removed my livewell a few years back right before the AIS laws went into effect. BUT, this is the best aeration system BY FAR for keeping bait alive. BIG Bait…Not like a scoop of minnows.. So that’s my suggestion. I don’t do tournaments, especially livewell tournaments, but if need be, i’ll use my large 5-day cooler like i do for my bait anyway.

Timer runs 30s in any interval between constant and 5 minutes. I use it at 5 minute intervals and works wonders.

I’d get that cover ASAP. Make sure you canopy the cover so rain runs off and doesn’t pool and create a 30 gallon lake.

I store mine outside and fish constantly, so it’s wet constantly. I only put the cover on it if it is dry, otherwise it traps hot wet oxygen and that’s worse that just sitting without a cover.

Keep outside exposed at your own risk. Obvious answer is dry is better, and wet can be tolerated for a short amount of time.

Bait!! Didn’t even think of that, be nice for a change to have fresh lively bait for flatties in the summer. That’s a real nice price too, have to get one Omw home tonight. If rain isnt off the radar tonight I’ll throw the cover on, either way I’ll get some fans blowing in there to dry out. Its sickening how much I worry about it.

Hey FishBlood, how did you install that aerator to minimize noise in the boat, thinking some rubber washers or even a hanging bracket type system would be of benefit for stealth on the water, imagine the things got a lil rattle to it.

The “Bilge” is submerged in your bait tank water…So the only noise is from the sparge bar spraying water.
Both the bilge and sparge bar have suction cups so they attach onto your cooler/livewell.
I keep my cooler in a storage compartment in my boat, and with the cooler lid closed, it’s barely noticable since i usually have the stereo on. Even then, a little noise is better than only having a cooler full of cut bait when all you want is live bait.
