Is it possible to change oil on a 4 stroke yamaha 15 hp without using 2 gallons of floor-dry? Dang it I have never spilled so much oil in my life, ruined a good pair of shoes too. I even bought the tilt-n-drain fitting and hose, worked awesome on a 115, not so much on the 15. Any suggestions?

I suggest changing your oil in your neighbors driveway.

I use an oil extractor on my 225 yamaha but have no problems with the standard way on my T9.9. The extractor does work well but the oil needs to be warm for it to not take forever.

I do mine all the time with no issue’s. I just take a piece of cardboard and fold it in half the long way to make a make shift “oil runway” to my pan and pull the plug.
