I just did my pre-season maintenance on my boat ,all I have left is to replace the I-Pilot remote battery.

What brand battery have you found that last the longest with max usage ?

    TIA Jeff

I like the energizer lithium but any lithium will be good.

How long do the batteries last in the remote? The ones for my co pilot are going on three maybe 4 years now and thats with a fair amount of use. Would imagine the display window and light on the i pilot remote must use up the batteries a little faster than that.

Like anything it is depending on usage. My terrova would last about 3-4 months. but when I am fishing I basically run the TM all day in current, lots of button pushing. I have heard of guys geting a year+ out of em. I will change batteries when I hit the button and the motor dont respond unless pointed directly at it. I would sure think the guys with bigger glass boats that trail a lot better than a little tin boat would see more time on a battery. and yes the copilot I used to have never seen a new battery so I am not even sure how big the battery in there is but the ipilot has a 3v and the display probably plays a roll in drainage. thers my $.02

    Trumar,
I use the lithium as well and I replace mine every spring. So it lasts the full summer and fall.
I have never had a issue of it going bad or dying.
Let me know what you go with.
They are great a better than the foot pedal. Gosh you get spoiled using them don’t-cha.

Always keep a second one in the boat…. even if it is a cheep backup. The first time you need it to keep a trip from going bad, you’ll be happy it was available.
