I’ve had two hand held Magelen GPS units and had problems with both of them not tracking satellites when I turned them on. The first one I sent back under warranty and they sent me a new unit and the second one I had for two seasons and no warranty when it died so I bought a Garmin 162 GPS and gave the broken unit to my son. The next day he called their service department (was on hold for 50 minutes) and talked to a service rep who gave him the info on how to clear the memory and its now as good as new. I hope this helps.
