I have a 2003 1800 Fisherman w/a Suzuki 140 four-stroke. I would like to install a water/fuel seperator filter. Just a few questions: is the best place to install underneath the splashwell behind the cranking battery? What type of filter is best – the Racor with the clear plastic resivor that you can drain or the normal spin on type? Finally, is it worth spending $90 for 1 hour labor + $30 parts to have a dealer do it? Thanks.
