G Loomis question

I currently use a 6’10” medium walleye GLX for rigging but sometimes I feel like it’s too heavy of an action. I generally use 1/4 to 3/8 ounce sinkers but may go up to 1/2 or 3/4 if it’s really windy. I like to stay vertical and feel the bottom. I’m thinking I might want to switch to the same rod in a mag-light, does anyone have any experience with this rod? Would it be too light for a 3/4 ounce sinker? Thanks in advance!

3/8 is the largest I’d go with a mag medium.
