After reading an interesting article on glow lures for ice walleyes, made me get out the old flashlight and take it to the jig boxes. Good grief did I miss the boat here, had no idea the skirts on many of my hair jigs glowed, I knew they had that sparkly material and that’s why I liked them, but didn’t think putting a light to it would charge them like they do. Everything has a time and place, good to know. What else has glow that I don’t know jeepers.

I’ve bought that material in bulk for not only jigs, but for when I tie up my rigs for salmon fishing rigs. The ‘ol flasher & fly….love that stuff.

You can get flashabou, crystal flash, and several other accents in many different glow colors. I always add a few strands into my walleye flys I tie.

I have some synthetic glow hair as well. Looks great in the water and I have caught some crappies with it. Haven’t had a chance to try it on eyes yet.
