Just recieved in the mail my replacement rod from Rapala.
They didn’t even ask how I broke it but told me to send $6.50 and the rod and they would replace it. Cost me about $12.00 total (shipping each way).
    Took about a month.
Just thought I would mention it.

Of course I know Rapala stands behind their product, so it’s not so suprising.

I however had a rod replaced once, and all that was left was the cork handle and maybe 10 inches of actual rod, seems the tips snapped, and then owner shortly after . I did get some looks, but it was taken care of. The rod was really nice, and darn near brand new, I guess “they” were a tad tired, and a a lil’ short temper that morning.

My wife bought me a light action South Bend Rod a few years back. I broke it by mis-using it to release a snag. I wrote them for a replacement explaining that I mis-used the rod but since it was a present from my wife I would pay for a replacement. South Bend sent me a better rod, paid for shipping, and no charge for the new rod. What a deal!! If I would happen to buy another rod out of a store it will be a South Bend!
