Any advise on which handheld GPS would be best for Topo maps and Minnesota & Wisconsin lake fishing maps? I’m going Elk hunting in Idaho and I also fish MN&WI. Also, what topo packages & lake map packages would be best?
I would go with a Garmin GPS . If you want color, look at the new Garmin 60C, Garmin 60CS , Garmin 76C , or the Garmin 76CS . For a black and white unit, see the Garmin GPSMAP 76 . For Topo software you can use the Garmin Mapsource US Topo CD . As for fishing software, you’d go with the new Garmin Recreation Lakes Fishing Hot Spots CD for MN/WI, or the Garmin Minnesota LakeMaster ProMap which offers 3-foot contours for some MN lakes.
