I was running Lite Cylinder 11lb clear composite tanks. Chuck(?) pointed out they were recalled by the feds, thus unfulfillable. All I could think was there is no way in HEdblehckystick I’m ever going back to a traditional steel tank. I’ll burn $5 one pounders if I have to… Picture pending..

So I ordered some comet grey wave 11lb tanks (actually 11.5lb). These things are tuna boats. I’ll tell you what, if you ever fall through, grab the tank! They are light, I’m not sure why they appear so huge?

I think the comet 11.5 lb tank is about the same size as the viking 17 lb cleartank.

I paid $69 each, outdoorcooking.com. They are still available at that price.

Lite cylinder had some 32 lb composite tanks that leaked that went underreported. The PHMSA caught wind and mandated retroactive testing that turned up bad. Long story short, the company couldn’t follow the tougher testing mandates and they went under. Every tank manufactured is recalled. I have 4 that are 7 years old.
