Does anyone have a review on the Arctic Sport or Woody Max Muck boots? I have always worn the standard brown uninsulated Muck books but as I age my feet are starting the bark back at me.

I have some great pack boots that I wear on the coldest of days and they keep my feet warm but they are huge and bulky. Any reviews on the insulated Mucks would be great.

    Thanks

I have the arctic pros. im a freeze baby when it comes to my feet so I bought these so I didn’t have to wear my cabelas infernos deer hunting. I love em my feet do get cold if it is really cold so I wouldn’t recommend them for a long day of sitting in a stand but if you are moving around some they are absolutely awesome! hope this helps a bit

I have both and like them both. The woody max are good for walking but not sitting. For sitting still stand hunting, The arctic pros with a good wool sock and liner sock are good for me for about 2 or 3 hours at -10. Longer if put those chemical foot warmers in them. I am good all day with the arctic pros ice fishing because I move around a lot more wich keeps my feet warmer. If you get arctic pros by them a size bigger than normal because the thicker material they are made of makes them tighter than other mucks in the same size. They are very comfortable and you can find good deals on the arctic pros on ebay around $120 free shipping sometimes better.

A friend bought the arctic sports for barn boots and really liked them so I tried a pair and now prob 6 of us wear em, no real issues the only gripe I have is the tread got really hard after a couple years and I slide around a lot without cleats, trying alpha burlys this year to get a good comparison so far I have no complaints with either but I’m nervous about the rubber of the alpha burlys cracking, not an issue with the mucks

Started with the wetlands. Plane wore them out after 3 years of ware, sept-may. Moved up to the artic pros and like them alot. They are warmer than the wetlands, so I mostly ware them nov-mar. I will be getting a new pair of wetlands for the warmer months

I have the Woody max. I like them alot and use them all winter as well as during the summer due to them being my only pair of muck boots. They definitely get warm during the summer. As for winter I am pretty good if I am moving around, If I have to sit still for a few hours then my toes will start to get a bit cold.

Thanks for the replies. My wife just ordered me a pair of the Arctic Sports so I am anxious to try them. She said she got a deal on them, around $100, but not sure where. Also not sure if there is a difference between the Arctic a Sport and the Arctic Pro. She ordered the same size I wear in the standard boots so we’ll see if they are too tight.

    Thanks again for the info.

I think Muck changed their sizing recently, but when I got mine they sized small. You’re likely going to want a bigger size (or two) to keep warm. The arctic sport is rated the same as the woody max, the arctic pro is rated for colder temps.

I’ve been wearing the woody max for 5 years now. Lately when I get cold feet, I started dropping hand-warmers into them. $2 a day for warm feet on the coldest days.
