Has anyone purchased or got to see the new Freedom Maps for Canada ? Thinking about the one for Northern Ontario for when we go up in July. Just wondering how the detail is compared to the maps from MapCreate 6.
Well got a little info for all of you out there, I ordered the F-29 Canada Freedom Map right from Lowrance, they asked me what units I was running. A LCX-16ci and a MT -3000 Global Map. I updated to the current software, but the units wouldn’t recognize the Freedom Map chips, I called Lowrance, they looked up my units serial numbers and finally told me they were built before 2002 and that there was no update to get the maps to work in them as of yet. So he’s going to send me a return goods for the $99.00 chip or I can go out and buy a NEW unit with the same size color screen as I have for $1500.00 or so! Grrrrrrr!!! 
Went to Cabela’s the other day and took the chip with me. Was thinking about another unit. We tried the chip in every unit they had on the floor and none of them would read the chip! They even tried it in the latest unit they just got in, still no go! The chip is now on it’s way back to Lowrance !
