    Hey guys,

Well I finally bought my boat this weekend. I bought a new 1600 Lund explorer SS…..I think I will like it a lot. Anyways….I put a new 75 horse Evinrude E- Tec on the boat. I don’t know a lot about the motors just wondering if anyone out here owns one, knows someone who owns one, or knows any good or bad info about them I guess. If so please post a message. Just curious. Thanks.

Congrats on the new boat. Thought you would really like that boat. It is a great boat with alot of neat changes from the old Explorers. A completely different boat. Below you will find a link to the Etec motors website. Thanks, Bill

I too congratulate you on your choice of boat and motor.
There has been a lot of dicussion on the site on these new motors. Do a search with e-tec as the subject and you will get a whole list.
One that I started early this year was “who has them?”
    I love my 40 horse.
If you want more you can pm me.
    When do you take delivery?

We are teaming up with Evinrude to put the 75 E-TEC to the test for the next year. IDA will be taking delivery of this motor after the 2005’s are released after July 15th. We are going to run this motor under as many conditions as we can think of. We will be reporting the performance and reliability qualities, good or bad. Stay tuned!

Hey Chad, let me know what she can troll down to. I would really like to know that. I know it is a 3 cylinder, and I am curious…
    Thanks!
