Ok long read cliffs at the bottom for the Lazy

Yeah just incase no one saw I’m having problems withmy 55# Ap , seems it only has one speed, top speed, after a little research I figured it was a board that went bad, I call tech support they said the had them in stock and they are about $65, and since I wanted one today, because I want it fixed by friday, which I’ll have to do myself, I could go and pick one up in Mankato, no problem about a hour and a half drive one way, no biggie for me. So I get there expecting to shell out some dough because my motor is almost three years old. Well I was wrong, walked in the customer service door, someone greeted me right away, he knew exactly what I was talking about, grabbed the part and said he’d be able to help me out a bit, I also mentioned since some people have had some issues with the auto pilot kind of developing a mind of it’s own, I know Minnkota has been pretty active in making sure people got new parts, and their units fixed, ok, he doesn’t even bat an eye and grabs me a compass too, says this should be a better compass for my unit, and to top the whole deal off has doesn’t charge me one penny, Frickin’ SWEET, Hey is anyone could use a breakon Part costs it would be me, since I’m closing on my house in a month. So I’ve been walking around all day with this big [censored] stupid grin on my face, I’ll tell you without doubt my next trolling motor is a minnkota too. Awesome custmore service, I got quick answers from everyone I talked to, and hopefully I’ll have my motor up and running top shape tomorrow.

    Cliff notes.

    1. trolling motor problem
    2. Tech support says bad board
    3. Drove a bit to pick up new parts
    4. Free parts = profit $$
    5. Trolling motor should be running great tomorrow.
    6. Minnkota customer for life.
