Having issues with my bow mount again. Got the batteries figured out about a month ago. Now I cant get any power to the prop on it. The lights lite up on it. It turns left and right. Auto pilot light comes on. When I hit the button to turn the prop on I just hear a faint click. Have tried both my co pilot control and a foot pedal with same results.

Any ideas on what might be the issue? Havent torn into it yet. The motor is from 2004.

Ill double check the pin but just put one in about a month ago. Could see if the brushes are corroded or worn. Is there a way to get at them or are they sealed in the bottom.

Bad circuit board? Call Minnkota’s tech support line. They are very knowledgable and friendly. They have diagnosed problems for me in the past.

Is it a 24 volt motor? Checked for 24 volts going into the motor and not just at the plug?

Took her apart. Ended up by passing the main resister board and hooking the motor up to main power cables coming in. Motor runs fine. Heading to fish electronics now for a new board. Just another $100 bucks and it should be running just fine.

Good thing I ddnt buy a boat to save money.

Thanks Jeff. Picked up the new one and have it installed all ready. Everything seems to be running good now.

Power drives are terrible in my experience. I traded my last one in at the motor clinic, and got a great deal on a maxxum. Terrova’s don’t seem to be much better, with the foot pedal issues.
