Anyone on here have the smooth move seats mounted in their boat? I am seriously looking at purchasing a couple for the boat but I need to do some research before I spend the money. I wish there was a place I could test ride these out to see if they are really worth the money. Looking for anyone with the pros/cons of these seats. Thanks!

Well worth the money. I put two in this spring and am sorry I waited this long. They make a 2 foot chop seem like nothing.

Chad was a good guy to work with down there. Give him a call, he will answer any questions you may have.

I have 1 in my 618T Ranger, would never not have them, spendy, but worth every penny to me and my back!

BigHan–Contact Bret King at 507-456-4130. He is one of the inventors of the smooth moves seats. He is a pro walleye fishermen and guide. He camps at EVERTS RESORT on pool 4 near Red Wing. And he has his boat rigged with all SMOOTH MOVE SEATS.. ……rrr

Horrible investment! Since I bought mine I’ve had to spend a ton of money repairing my boat due to beating it in tough water. Had to replace bilge and aerator pumps, cracked counsel, equipment bouncing around.Had to figure out how to secure my anchor, etc. my back no longer hurts after a day on the water…only my pocket book.

A friend and I put them in our Lund tiller boats ( 18 & 20 ft, respectively), 2 yrs. ago & absolutely love them.

Next question is, if I do buy them what’s the difference between the ultra and the regular. I see they have a new style with the accordion look under the seat.

    orangewhip:
how does the addition of the smooth move seat cause the rest of your boat to fall apart?

didn’t pick up the scarcasm there???? pretty sure he is saying that he doesn’t noticed chop or waves like you normally would and really doesn’t slow down for em. pretty sure he likes them. just a guess

I put two in the 619 a couple of years ago, absolutely love them as does my wife and anyone else sitting on the passenger side.

Just buy a Grady White and be done with it. Solid pedestals and still smooth.

    Big Han,

We have had a set in our MX2025 for this whole year. After fishing many different bodies of water in all conditions I would say I would have a hard time not getting them in my next boat.
The newer compact design is much friendlier for keeping more open space in the cockpit and also simpilier and smoother to adjust. Installation is also easier.

We have the new ultras in our boat currently and would be more than willing to let you test them out if we can meet up somewhere.

We also have both styles on hand and running a special on both right now.

Well worth the investment if you fish bigger water or you plan on fishing no matter the weather and wind.
