Mounting Minnkota trolling motor on Lund Rebel?

The gunnel rail sits about three quarter to an inch higher than the bow platform where the motor needs to be bolted so what do I need under the motor mount to make it flush with the gunnel? I see a lot of quick release mounts but not sure if that will raise it up enough. I was thinking of just sealing a piece of plywood and using that.

A pic of your bow would help solve your mystery, but..Sometimes shock rubbers work for that

I would use a piece of 3/4 in. high density plastic under it.

I had the same thing with my Rebel
I went to a sign shop and they gave me some scraps of LEXAN
it is like bullet proof plastic it’s 1/4in. thick so it took 3pcs It works great just sand the edges after cutting and apply some car wax and it is clear as glass looks cool

Problem solved, buddy has a composite board that should work perfect.

That is exactly like mine and I used the rubber spacers on the low side that come with my new trolling motor but, I really don’t see why the shock bushings wont work… cheap and easy to find.

Most any part store should carry them for around $5-$7.

I had this same dilemma a couple weeks back. I chose the plywood route. two layers sandwiched together and liberally treated with Thompson water seal. Wish I would have thought of lexan from a sign shop. That’s a fantastic idea! You’re has to look better than mine and can’t rot.

How much beer did you have to drink to get all that aluminum

Suziki, I can’t tell from the pic. Where did you move your bow light to? I have the same setup and would like to add a tm.

On the third picture it looks like an Attwood plug-in recepticle at the very front. Those have a hinged cover and when swung to the side a bow light plus into it.

Suzuki, That must be some very heavy aluminum, but I would think that you would still need some backing under the tm for stiffening.
