For you that run two different brand fish finders. I have my transducer mounted on the bottom of the front trolling motor. I have broken the cable three times now, just by not paying attention to where the cable is, and the trolling motor head going around to many times.
So now I am considering moving the ducer to the back, opposite the Garmin ducer. Can this be done or will they interfere with each other? Or is there another way of getting around this problem

I would say you have your trans cable mounted to tight to the trolling motor. You need to leave a loop of cable between the bottom of the trolling motor that turns and the top part that does not.Do not understand why you are turning it in full circles to twist it up to break it.

before you mount the transducer put the boat in the water then clamp the transducer so that its straight then troll around dont worry about it dangling you may have to put some weight on it try that first then you should know if you have interference u wont have to second guess remember every boat is different and this is the easiest way for yur boat make sure you do it shallow then deep the deep is important and u may have to adjust on the screen

It’s the spot lock on the I pilot If the wind is shifty then the motor has a tendency to turn to many times to catch up with the wind
