Hey guys I’m new to the forum and looking forsome of your opinions on these two rods. I own a loomis WRR 8501S (7’1″ ML fast) that I have been using for pulling rigs and bottom bouncers. I just bought a 7ft Scheels One Nano rod and wondering which rod you guys feel is more sensitive and would be better for rigging? Basically I’m trying to decide which rod I should use for rigging and which one I should use for pulling cranks. The Scheels One Rod definitely feels lighter than the loomis. I have heard from some people that the blank used by Scheels Outfitters for that particular rod is a loomis blank. Any insight would be great. Thanks guys!

I have both rods, several Loomis and 3 of the Scheels Nano One technology rods. I broke an expensive Loomis last year and sent it off to the service center for a 5 to 10% of the cost they sent me a new one. I was told at Scheels after they demonstrated to me by stepping on it on the store floor that “if anything happened to it return it for a no questions asked total replacement”!

First of all I love both rods, But Scheels I think just added to my future buys!

Feel touch sensitivity and all else, with a tweek of a diff here and a tweak of a change there they are equal.

For pulling cranks they are a bit of overkill. However with that said I use the walleye class 8’ish Loomis poles for my pulling crank baits.

You also talked about bottom bouncers, That might be a loaded question. Depth of water/speed/targeted fish/type of lure. Any item can make a big difference in the rod of choice.
