Long story short, the check valve on the bottom of my oil resevoir broke, drained all my oil out, was looking to have the boat on the water today, I was wondering if anyone is willing to venture how important it is to have a check valve on the bottom of the oil resevoir, if the oil level stays high enough and the check valve in the primer bulb holds like it always has, I think it would be ok, seems no one in the tc, has the part.

Are you talking about the little clear plastic hose that goes on the bottom of the oil tank that is on the motor?

Well I put a nipple in line, and plan on checking the oil tank religiously until I get the part next week.

The small white plastic piece on the outside of the tank that is in-line on the hose and very close to the pump that goes into the back of the tank on the boat?

If thats the one your talking about that is actually a filter and not a check valve. You can run without it for a short time as there is another filter on the motor. I would replace it as soon as you can though.

If it is part #25 that is a filter like mentioned.

Awesome, yup that’s it, a quick look at it this morning, I assumed it was a check valve, I feel a lot better running with out it now. Thank Eric! I know the resevoir is clean….. unlike my garage floor….
