I’m new to side-scan sonar and have a question about displaying the water column on screen. Most, if not all screenshot images I’ve seen of Lowrance and Humminbird side scan sonars show both sides of the water column from a top down viewpoint. Is it possible through the options to display either the left or right side image horizontally on the screen with the top of the water column at the top of the screen? This would provide a more realistic viewpoint imo..

That is what DI does. Once you get used to using SI it gets much easer, Back in 05 when I bought my first side imaging unit a 797c2si I thought I would never figure it out, keep at it the longer you use it the better and easier it will become. Study others screen captures it`s prey amazsing how well it works. The best information I received from a friend was quit looking at structure and concentrate on fish, who cares if it is a rock or stump if there are no fish there====== who cares what it is.
