Looking at a new Lowe FM 165 SC. I’ve never owned a Lowe before. Anybody help me with the good, bad and things to look for. Anybody ever bought a boat from the guys at Cabela’ in PDC??? How are they to deal with??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m not attached to the Lowe. Anybody know a similar boat for a great price, let me know.
    Thank you.

I have the 2012 Lowe 165 Pro FM with walk Thru. It is maxed out with a 90 Four Stroke Mercury and I get 40-42 MPH. I love it for what you get, and the price compared to a Lund or Crestliner. It is also owned by the same company as Lund & Crestliner. What kind of fishing are you using it for?

I had the old generation FM 1650 SC…It was a very serviceable boat. Many days on the water w/o a problem…ran an Evinrude 50hp.
The new Lowe versions look very nice, although I personally have not driven one.

A freind of mine bought a new Ranger early this spring at PDC Cabelas. Was the best deal he could find anywhere. Had to take it back once because of a rigging mistake but otherwise very happy.

I was looking at the same boat last year. I ended up getting an Alumacraft Classic. This boat has very similar specs as the Lowe and is the same price range. I felt the the Alumacraft had better finish, layout, and just seemed to be a better quality boat. I bought mine at Starks in PdC and have been very happy with the boat and service.
