A 7’6″ MLXF 2 pc. Same info for this rod.
Please share your thoughts and experiences with each of these rods if you have some experience with them.

The 610 MLXF would be a great pitching rod for light jigs and blade baits etc…

The 7’6″ 2 piece, I would imagine would be great for light live bait rigging, I’d also like a rod this length for pitching 1/8 oz jigs with crawlers or leaches to wing dams. The little extra length helps get that rod tip up higher and keeps more line off the water, which helps a lot.

Could be a good willow cat rod too.

I would use just as said above and will use them very carefully, these are great rods and will last a lifetime.

I have 6 of the 6’10” MLXF and I absolutely love them.

Everybody’s opinions are different, but it think they are the best rod made hands down !

The sensitivity of these rods are second to NONE !!

Awesome rod for pitching 1/16 – 3/8 oz jigs. I use it multi-species as well; walleye, bass, awesome panfish rod. Super versatile can really be used for almost anything.

To be honest though I would never buy this rod again, the Avid 6’9″ ML XF is only a half inch shorter, 10% lighter, half the cost, and has a traditional cork handle which I prefer over the Legend Xtreme… just something to look at.

Both would make great pitching/casting rods for jigs and light cranks. The top one would be a great all around rod, everything from lindy rigging to vertical jigging.

I should have stated my 6’10” MLXF rods are custom made and have a cork split grip handle.

I also am not a fan of the new LEX handle.

I have the Avid 6’9″ MLXF as well. Its called a dropshot rod on tacklewarehouse. I’ll probably even use mine for panfish with a second spool of lighter line and light jigs.

I have Five Lagends and Premiers from the early 90’s. Love them! I got a triumph 7′ as a gift last year, nice but not a Legend. I have some Fenwicks that I like as well. Having said that I would like to add afew more rods in the $120 range. Any word onthe St. Croix Eye-Con or other suggestions in that range. rigging, jigging and trolling.

My opinion, stick with the premier. I tried an eyecon and did not care for it, it broke while lindy rigging about 4 months after I bought it and the nice guy at st. croix let me exchange it for a premier since I like them a lot better. The eyecon just didnt feel sensitive in my hand, it felt almost cheap like a mojo bass. For the same price I will choose premier every single time now. Plus the premiers are made in the USA and not mexico.. another plus.

IMO this rod paired with a 1000 shimano or 25 pflueger is THE panfish combo, no others needed. I primarily pitch or troll 1/16 oz jig with a 2″ grub and I have never seen a better rod for this or even anything close, other than the Xtreme 6’10” ML XF.
