    I bought my 1st shimano spinning rod from Dean this winter. I now have 4 of them. Two 7’6″ and Two 6’6″ Rods. And i am sure i will end up haveing a few more. …rrr

    Great vid. Dean and thanks for the technique-specific explanations. As always, your recommendations are spot-on given the rods I have experience with.

    From a fishing perspective, I’ll be sharing this around, as few understand and are willing to expound so well on the “why’s” of matching/pairing certain rods to specific applications. Anyone who has trolled and keeps running into the foot-and-a-half rod handle of so many of today’s trolling rods knows what you’re talking about.

    For my money, that 8’3″ Telescoping Compre does a pile of different things well. It performs multiple crankbait applications well, and is pretty much my rod of choice for pulling spinner rigs. I know Grant is pretty high on it as well, and that says alot coming from a guy who fishes for lakers, salmon, and walleye all in the same system!

    Save one or two more for me!
