Copper versus leadcore

    Anyone using copper. Saw pre rigged cooper set up at Gander. Ready to spool with braid for backer and Fluor carbon leader. Seemed like a nice set up.

    Copper is better suited for great lakes salmon fishing rather than Walleye.

    It is trickier to use due to stiffness when unspooling, dives deeper but also sinks faster when boat speed is slowed.

    LC works better when hugging bottom.
    Copper is better suited for fishing upper or mid water column.

    I have thought about Cu for trolling ML but IMHO its a bigger pain than its worth for ML. Salmon is a different story.
