Rock Guards

I recently purchased a Tuffy Esox 1990 T and am looking into rock guards for protecting my investment. Living in SW MN, avoiding gravel roads is not an option as that would mean avoiding >50% of the area lakes. At bare minimum, each trip out is 4 miles of gravel without considering gravel from highway to landings. Some lakes would be up to 15 miles of gravel a night, figure 3-4 nights a week, it really adds up the gravel travel over the course of a summer; less yet multiple years.

After some searching, not a ton, I feel these 3 products could potentially meet my needs. Do any of you have these products? Reviews? Concerns? What would you choose for your boat?

If I am missing a product like these please let me know. I just feel these products are a better option for me than a hair or rubber flap style system.

Thank you in advance for any input

Towtector is the absolute best I’ve ever used.

Rock Knockers are the best (or something like them). http://www.montanarockguards.com/

In my experiences the Tow Tectors suck on real gravel roads (Canada) and make the problem worse. Tow Tectors are perfect if you drive tar roads to concrete ramps.

I run the Rock Guards, have had them on for 4 years. They are a bit different now with the ownership change. The MT Rock Guards protect the boat, and don’t get in the way. No removal and put back on time. Keep in mind, they do not protect the trailer. Not designed to do that cuz nobody in MT has a painted trailer – the galvanized ones look the same if they hit rocks or not. I always thought the 3M film on a new painted trailer would take care of that.
