I have seen the i-Pilot Link to Humminbird…looks cool. I am looking to buy a Terrova i-Pilot and I currently have a HB 798 and Lakemaster chip. Seems like a no-brainer to buy the i-Pilot with Link…or is it not worth it? Before you just give me a thumbs up or down, tell me why I should buy the i-Pilot Link. I will hang up and listen.

On top of the $800 link, the system also requires the new $100 lakemaster chip. The cost/benefit analysis, at least in my estimation, clearly tips in favor of the link. It will mostly hinge on what type of fishing you prefer. For me, it makes perfect sense.

Yeah, should have mentioned where I fish…90% of my time is on Pool 4. Trolling in the summer pulling lead, backwaters, river areas…

Also fish many small lakes in the Aitkin area and areas North.

Don’t forget the unit to Ethernet adapter. Heard a report of a guy getting severe interference when hooked up to the TM via Ethernet. Might be a very random case, but something worth checking out. If it works, I’ll be all over it. But I’ll wait for common man on-water opinions.

I’m waiting, too. I’m pretty compelled at this point.
