Mike, What brand keel gaurd do you have on there currently? Is it a stick on one or the actual “Keel Gaurd” one that is epoxied? If its epoxied it might be a little tougher to get cleaned up and a new one on but can be done. The stick on one just takes some time to clean up but is much easier.
I would STRONGLY suggest the actual Keel Gaurd that is epoxied on once you get to that point. If you have any questions let me know and will help ya out the best I can.
Thanks Eric for the reply. It is a Hambys guard, which is epoxied on. I have did a little checking around and it will cost about 1000.00 give or take a couple hundred to have the old one removed, preped for a new one, and the new one installed. I would consider not doing anything, but I am missing part of the old one, and there are areas now that are perfect for invasive species to catch on and hide!
