Anyone know what this type of Lund boat seat is called?
More importantly, how to take it apart?
Comfortable passenger seat?
I dont know how to take it apart – I do know how to move them from hole to hole and tip them forward for storage.
I have also seen other Lund owners use them for life jacket holders

It’s called expensive. Way too expensive for what you get.
Anyway, I think they begin life as Attwood Centric seats. If your’s are anything like mine they probably recline now. The plastic hinge doesn’t hold up well to people leaning back with all their weight. I have no idea how to take them upholstery off. I assume a guy can just start removing the staples holing it on and attempt to slide it off the foam. There are seat components available but the hard part would be reattaching the upholstery and getting it tight enough. I asked the guy who make my boat cover and bimini top about repairing the seat and he said it was pretty easy.
Is there a small black button coming out from the leg? I have similar seats and all you have to do is push in the black button and either pull or twist the whole seat up.. should come right out!
I was in a hurry when I posted (snow plow was here).
I have it out of the boat. The fella that’s re upholstering them left a message for me asking if I knew how to take it apart.
Since he’s recovering it, I’m not sure why he can’t just cut it off(?)
PS this seat is from 2001 and no plastic.
As far as cost goes, the regular Lund seats were $218.00 each…this “deluxe” seat was more, but I didn’t ask how much. Certainly is some mark up.
There should be some staples on the bottom. Start with removing them and try rolling the vinyl back. It may be glued to the foam though. I suspect that taking it apart may be not very fun and your guy is trying to save himself some grief.
Thanks all!
There must be something different about this seat. I’ll be calling him around noon to see what’s up.

He will want to mark all the seams, remove the stitching, iron them flat, and now he has a perfect pattern for the new ones.
If you take the upholstery off by dissassembling the parts cleanly,
you can use the parts as patterns for cutting the new material.
Just like when doing a wooden boat floor.
You should have called me to begin with, my guy knows how to do his job !
Found this, they actually sell the foam for doing this

Thanks again guys!
Turns out one of the insets pops off and that’s the access.
The shop I’m using charges $45. per seat. Up to $75 each if he replaces the marine grade plywood in the seat. I had one seat that the back was bending above the hingeds and I was worried someone would fall over backward if leaning back and we hit a wake.
For S&G’s I called a Lund dealer to price out a new seat. Turns out I couldn’t get the grey and green two color seat anymore and the price of the seat I could get was $218.00 each. The “deluxe” seat pictured above would be more.
These won’t have the word “LUND” on them.
How can you let someone sit in them without Lund stiched on them?

I KNOW right!?
For $872.00 It could have said for a hot date, call Dean at 715-….. I’m not paying it.
They were worn off or 1/2 off anyway. When I talked to Lund I asked about replacing those on my new seats. Guess they are burned in. Not worth the extra time, trouble or cost.
Most people just replace the boat…but I’m still waiting for the right deal.
All 4 seats are done and I picked them up today.
With the exception of the missing logo, they look better then new. Powell’s Upholstery replaced the straps and secured the bottom end with a screw, now more lost straps!
He upgraded the wood to 3/4 inch marine grade. I’m thinking they will last longer then the boat!
New foam, new wood and new covering.
They were made to fit Chirps butt.
Those look like different seats than the first photo. Those have the hinges on the outer edge and the first picture have a center hinge. Was the first picture not your seats and just a photo you found? I have lund seats that look just like your recovered seats that I had to replace the plywood because it rotted. It looks like he did a nice job on them.
the recovered ones are definitely not the deluxe seats shown at the top of this thread
Yes the first photo is a web picture. I have one deluxe seat and 3 regulars. I snapped a photo of the regular seat.
Your own photo was what I had on my boat orgionaly. My wood rotted out and the vinyl was lacking.
Your first web copied photo is what I ended up with almost. The Lund tags are a glue on and don’t stay. I knew this going in before I bought them. The newer seats are also a plastic base. After 5 (thinking it’s been more than that) more years with them now I’m still happy with them.
