Trailer jack replacement.

I am tired of the wheel on my trailer jack not being able to pivot when it should. This makes moving the boat near impossible by hand.
What can I do to make the wheel swivel more freely?
Is there a higher quality jack than what came stock on my Shorelandr trailer?

I replaced my jack and had the same problem, the wheels on the new jack will not turn and is very frustrating and hard to move the boat. I found that if I lowered the jack putting more weight from the boat on the jack wheels it was much easier to move around. I would think it would be the opposite but this works for me.

What about a jack with an oversized wheel?
Would that turn more easily as it would have more surface contact?

The original jack that came with the boat had had two wheels never had much of a problem. One of the wheels broke and replaced it with a jack with one wheel (not a large wheel one)and was scared the jack was going to break and the boat fall on me. I did not get a jack rated for enough weight. Went back to the two wheel jack but it is not as good as the original one. One large wheel might be the way to go as long as the jack is rated for enough weight, the problem with the new two wheel one I have is that if there is not enough weight on the wheels only one wheel is making good contact with the floor. Jacking it down puts enough weight for both to make contact and then it is not so difficult to push around.

I had the same issue with my boat, went to a better jack with the bigger wheel, made all the differance in the world.
bought the jack used off of IDO.

Yes, we can get them for you. $139.99 with free shipping. This is for the one pictured and described above. I would take a look at Fulton’s website before you order one. They may not work on all trailers without some modifications. Click here for Fulton F2 Twin Jack pictures

If anyone is interested in this item from Jolly Ann, we do not have them on the website yet. Shoot me an email and we can get one coming to you. [email protected]

I had the same problem of the wheel not pivoting easily. I purchased a 8in. Polyethylene Ball Bearing Swivel Caster from Northern Tool, cut off the old, welded on the new, works great.
