60 hp Mercury 4-stroke

    I am in the process of deciding on a new boat/motor package. I have talked myself into putting a new Mercury 60 hp 4-stroke on the boat. Is there any advice someone cares to share, good or bad on the newer Mercury 4-strokes? I have 2002 Suzuki’s on my boats now.

    I have a 40 which is the same block on my pontoon. 8 seasons and runs great. The only issue was a stator or some electronic thing that charges the battery.

    I have an ’06 60hp bigfoot.
    Love it, runs like a top.
