I am considering moving to an Auto Pilot. If I do, I’ll need to sell my 2001 Motor Guide 62 lb. 24V Lazer II (55″ shaft)with the Gator Big Water Mount. What can I expect do get for this?

IMO most people think there used gear is worth more than it really is and over price their stuff. Get what you want/can/need and can live with that. Can you sleep at night knowing you’ve screwed someone or can you sleep at night thinking oh my god I sold it for too little.

IMO I don’t think that Lazers would hold their value the same as a cable driven would. If you can get 150 for it take it.

3 years old, good condition, figure 30-40% of retail. I always price my stuff to just be happy with what I get. It always seems like if you price it too low, it sells the first minute it’s listed, too high just the opposite. Check ebay, they are a pretty good source of used prices. Maybe a place like Motor Clinic could offer some advice on how to price the unit?? Good luck with the sale!

Actually, it came new with the boat. No idea of retail price. Not out to screw anyone (if I implied that, my apologies). I just am looking for a good, honest opinion. So….if anyone has any idea, let me know.

Speaking of eBay, nothing there at the moment. Kind of leary of using that as a measurement tool, I sold a Lowrance 1600 Global there last month for 2 1/2 times the price I thought I may get.

It’s funny how Ebay will do that sometimes. Of course it never doe for me. I like to look at the closed auctions, then take an average of what the items sold for. It’s tough selling used gear when you don’t work in that market place everyday.
