Fluid for tilt/trim?

    What type of fluid do I put in the canister for the tilt/trim. I checked it today and it is below the screw. It has also been making some grumbling noises lately. I am thinking it is some type of hydraulic fluid but not totally sure. As always, your help is greatly appreciated.

    There is a specific tilt/trim fliud. You can get it at any dealer or boat shop.

    Thanks for the reply. Do you think Gander would have it as well? I am going to be real close to there this afternoon, maybe I will drop in and check.

    You can use ATF – DexronII. Get in the auto department.
