Been looking at digital cameras for some time now and cant make up my mind. Just looking for some thoughts and opinions on a tough camera that will stand up to the beatings of outdoor adventures and activites for a decent price. And most importantly take great pictures! Thanks

    What have you been pondering?
    Where is your pricing at?
    Point and shoot, SLR?
    Waterproof, dust proof?
    ect…

Something around $200. Point and shoot. I was looking at the Nikon waterproof camera but $350 is out of my range…Something faily tough but still takes good pics

I have been shooting a Nikon coolpix S51 for many years. With many photos and video taken. It is a low price camera and I am sure they have newer, with better features. web page I guess if I up grade they have 12 mega pixels now which would be nice. I have a water proof bag I keep it in and when it is raining I am very careful. But it has been with me over 8 years. I have a small tripod and a windshield clamp. Good Luck

I’ve been happy with my Nikon 640 for 3 and 1/2 years now.
