Would there be any concerns with leaving a Terrova I-Pilot on the boat in unheated storage for the winter? Not sure if there is maybe a fluid filled compass for the auto-pilot that could freeze and burst……or anything else?……

No concerns. Nothing inside that can be hurt by freezing.

This generally happens when you raise it up and take off but make sure the motor housing is free of water.
You can check this by hitting the deploy leaver and sliding the shaft out 6″. Let the shaft spin so the prop is down and the “torpedo” tip on the motor is up. Any water will drain. But like I said it most likely will have none in it.

They are used all winter in the open water of Pool 4. A little silicon on the shaft and you’re good to go. Well, it doesn’t hurt to have some deicer along I guess.
