The built in transducer on my older Minnkota Powerdrive has been run into the tops of wingdams a few too many times. Is anyone old schooling it and mounting the transducer on their t-motors anymore? Also curious if anyone is running newer side imaging or structure scan on their bowmounts? Curious how that is working out for you.
Never really thought the “universal sonar” on my Minnkota was all that great. Has Minnkota improved this on the newer models? Like the Terrova for example?

I started running a Humminbird side imaging transducer on my bow mount this year and really like it, especially the down imaging. Its rock solid and performs very good with this setup.

I’m still running a 997c on the bow. Not the latest and greatest but covers all my needs at the moment and has been a solid unit.
Jon, Anything TM we put a transducer on we use the transducer shields. They are slick!! We also have a broad selection in stock if your going to go that route!!
I have always liked using the SI up front.
It is really nice to have the lead time
(17 feet for me)
to be ready to set the hook at the right time.
I guess short term I need a transducer for a old Lowrance LCX-18C. Does anyone know the part number for this?

NOPE, that would be BOAM, not BOAT, Break out another Mortgage.
I have aspirations to add side scan and ipilot and a new sonar unit upfront, but get light headed when I start adding things up…
