Introducing the Grappler Shad CD14 by Cotton Cordell! The new CD14 is the kid brother of the CD15 Grappler Shad that has been o nthe shelves for nearly a year or so. The smaller version is a absolute replica only smaller. All of the same fish catching characteristics and its ability to run true right out of the box. Tonight was my forst outing with them on the Mississippi River and it produced well over my expectations. A gentle but steady dive curve gives this lure the ability to get it away from the boat and long line troll the shallow rock and sand that holds those post spawn walleyes right now. I predict this will be a fish catching machine over the next month in a half on the river when the crank bait trolling scener kicks in high gear! I was trolling upcurrent tonight and easily hitting bottom at 9 foot of water with about 105 feet of line out. I did not take the time to see what the deepest range that this new lure will run, but my guess 10-11 foot would be the max for this lure.

Here is a quick snapshot of some of the many colors availible in the CD14 and the CD15. With nearly every concievable color made, you will be sure to find a color that fits your situation and forage on your favorite body of water. The new smaller CD14 is missing approximately 4 of the 24 colors that are availible in the CD15 model.

That CD-14 should also be deadly on Smallies in that natural Crawfish model you posted Steve!
I still would love to come out and try for some monster Bronzebacks with you sometime!

Sorry for the delay here guys, was on the road over the weekend doing a couple seminars in Sioux Falls, SD.

    skpike,
IF I had to pick 4 colors? Hmmmm…thats a tough one to cover Pepin and Mille LAcs you say?
Well here is a shot at it,

    Firetiger
    Crawfish
    Flourescent Red/Black
    Gold Perch
And maybe one of the blue/chrome’s thrown in there as well. OK thats five but whose counting?

Dave is right about the Gander Mountains inventory. I know as of Friday afternoon, all the Minneapolis metro area Ganders were stocking the shelves with CD14!!

    Tom,
Right on… these CD14 will be dynamite on those river smallies! I can’t wait!

I will keep everyone posted on new locations as they arrive.

I was having problems replying to the other Cotton Cordell Grappler shad post, so he is the previous post that was discussed to help people understand the size and depth curve of these cranks.
