Minnkota Power Drive steering problem

The electric trolling motor I was using last week quit steering to the left until I raised the motor up a few inches and lowered it back down. Am I looking at a problem with the foot pedal, the wiring, or a connection/switch? Five days of fishing without being able to rely on the motor turning left made it a long week.

had a similar problem with my autopilot about two years ago. I could get it to work at times but not reliable. New foot pedal from fleet farm in Bemidji and no more issues.

I just had my foot pedal replaced under warranty because it wouldn’t turn to the left either. I also know someone else that had a faulty foot pedal. Mine works excellent now.

The foot pedal seems to have been the weakest link for years. I had to replace the board in my old 42 Auto Pilot twice I think in 12 years.
With the new 101 Terrova, that has not been an issue.
