St. Croix Rod Problem

    Bought my first St. Croix rod last month which is a crappie rod which I love. Problem is the ring that tightens to hold the reel on won’t stay tight. Acts light it is striped. Anyone else run into this problem?

    Yes, I stripped one once. No fun at all. A little teflon tape on the screw part helped keep mine tight.

    You should contact st. croix and see what they say, especially if it has been doing this since you bought it!
