Just a heads up on these things, they DON’T work. Screen/Grid
on inside plugs up with ANY sort of debris and the check ball
lets water in when you’re in the lake. It has a PING-PONG
ball for a check valve, I bought mine off the internet so I
was unaware of what kind of quality was involved.

Thanks for the heads up. I was really thinking they would be perfect for my 14ft floater. I would like to have a plug that I didn’t have to remove while running down the river as to let any water out of the boat that may have been accumulated on the rough days. Guess I’ll just keep reaching for and pulling the reliable plug that I have now.

My Uncle put one in his Ranger 620. He has had it in the water 6-8 times with no problems.

I read that the newest model has an external screen on it to keep debri and foreign objects out.
It is supposed to take care of sticky issues.

Most of the smaller boats I fished in Alaska use this system. Seems to work well for those guys. I wonder how different they are?

Yep, have heard 2 similar reports within the past week… both had their plugs in the boat less than 2 weeks!
