minnkota issue

    I have a new terrova with i pilot. Tonight was my 5th outing with it. I was fishing ahead of a storm and the static electricity built up pretty noticible. Then my terrova began to spin. Then the foot pedal wouldnt work. Nothing worked. The remote wouldnt steer eitherPacked up and headed in. Tried it again before docking. Worked for a minute. Then the same. Has this happened to anybody else? . Is this just a static electricity malfunction or a sign of something worse?
    Any ideas welcome. Not trying bash a product either. Ipilot is awesome. ……Of course other than tonight.

    You could try a soft reset if it happens again (un plug and plug back in). It has worked before for me.

    Unplug th foot pedal or the whole unit. Mines hard wired to batteries.

    Third time out with my Terrova last weekend and right before a storm rolled in it started to spin and shut down.I figured it was a bad remote battery so I replaced it.Have been out twice since and it is working fine.
