Did that 20 years ago. Drove past them 7 times for new trucks and twice for used car/trucks.

Two negative experiences in a row. Service.

If you work there I will ax this post. I dont want to inadvertantly attack any regulars on IDO.

Where were you 20 years ago?

PS Onestout is still looking for a job, so if you know of one…send him a pm.

I thought it was just me and my vehicles. I will show this
to my wife and maybe then she’ll believe me.

I put some non-favorable comments about the Chev Dealer in Hudson on the Suburban thread. I don’t think Merit has a monopoly on bad service experiences. I get PO’d whenever I hear my brakes squeak. Which is everytime I drive my truck. It is a bummer, because I had several good experiences with them.

I do almost everything on my vehicles with the help of a good friend. I usually buy OEM parts from Merit because they are the closest dealer. I likely still will but no more service.

I totally read the post subject in the wrong way. I thought you just bought a really expensive vehicle and spent your last dollar. I thought, “Huh…weird. I’d buy beer, or food, or a new rod.”

I got really tired a long time ago of dealer service to be taken to other places to be fixed. I don’t even bother the dealer now.

Soooo…is it not a good time to ask you to borrow some money or what?

The chev dealers in red wing and hastings wanted to charge me over 600 for a t-stat in my car, took it to a guy that actually worked for one of em and is ase certified, not like that matters anyways, I was out the door barely over 200, and he even threw in an oil change

What I forgot to mention, is he set up his own shop
