Anybody know what brand guides are used on the spinning rods?

You could try calling fishing tackle outlet in Champlain. Thought at one time they where the ones importing them. Not bad rods for the price.

On his site, they’re listed as feather weight guides featuring zirconium inserts.

Guides – Some Garbage Fuji Knock off from China.

The guy used a lot of St. Croix blanks to knock his rods off of somebody else’s hard work.

    A qoute from his site…

“High grade cork handle featuring a locking graphite reel seat balances this incredible blank with feather weight guides featuring zirconium inserts.”

    Tim,
I know you love your Croix rods. And I have a few of them in my arsenal. But it is hard to swallow being dedicated to them when I have 2 badly manufactured premier rods and they balked at me. I had a 3 rod go bad (Legend Elite) and they fixed it half-azz……

In the meantime, I’ll stick with my new found love of Shimano’s with their life-time, over the counter warranty, no questions asked, equal quality rods-at half the price!

As for Jason Mitchel Rods, where the OP was asking. I don’t know any info about them.

I can totally understand why you’d go shimano then I’ve looked at them myself and they do make some really nice sticks. But untill I’m wronged by Croix I’ll stay loyal to the end!
I just wouldn’t give my money to a company that clearly knocked off the st croix avid and makes it it in china but still wants 140$ for it!

Can’t aruge with that! But if it was a $70 rod……then there would be discussion!

Even better right now it’s buy one get one so they’re only $50-60 bucks a piece if I buy 2.
