I sent in my Elite Tech rod in back the week before Memorial Day…

I called them today to see what the status was on it…

    Still 6 weeks out

The tip and first eye ceramic came out…

I do not this this is the kind of service most fishermen and women would want…

I have almost exclusively fished St.Croix rods… and the only reason I have ever switched is to experiment with new rods….

Looks like I will be staying with St.Croix..

according to a very reliable source at joe’s sporting goods, fenwick rods are the most common rods sent in for repair.

I recently had one replaced really quick as well… I was told it at times depended if they had the specific rod available? Not sure how they could be missing popular rods, but. They replaced one couple years ago, and it was quick as well.

I was thinking it would take a while this last time, and ordered a new one through a great deal on Amazon… the replacement was there the same day the other new one came. Can never have too many I guess.

Hard to top St. croix for customer service or quality. And made right her in the USA as well ( most of them anyway )

That’s a bummer to hear. I’ve been really happy with the Elite Tech Series and their performance.

If that happens ever again, try and take them into Scheels. I’ve had the tip break (my fault)on 2 different rods over the last couple years and I’ve brought the rod into Scheels and they switched it out, no questions asked. I was in and out of the store in less than 10 minutes.

I’ve had good luck with mine. Broke a fenwick elite tech ice rod last winter and had a new one in less than a week.
