I have a Minnkota MK220 on my flat. I use it for my trolling motor batteries and it is flawless. The only reason I bought the Minnkota is because it has a 3 year warranty like the trolling motor on the boat. This is the second year of use with no problems.

I have heard a lot of problems have been had with the Minnkotas but it appears thus far I have a good one. I believe the new ones only have a year warranty.

Best makes one of the best. Spendy but worth it. I have the original 3-bank charger in my 1998 boat and it still works fine. I have two other Best chargers that also work perfectly.

I haven’t heard of any issues with the minn kotas and the majority of the people on this site will recommend them. I have a 5 amp per bank charger which is OK for what I use it for, the 10 amp per bank will charge it faster though if you need that. I would recommend the 10 amp/bank for the extra dollars, they also have a spring rebate program that may still be going on. I also purchased from Wade at Jolly ann and have had really good luck as have others on here.

MK-210D (5 amps per bank). If you run hard day after day and really drain your batteries and need them 100% the next morning then a MK-220D (10 amps per bank).

I have a MK-210 before the digital ones and on a 3 day weekend with charging at night (5 hours or so) the batteries are pretty drained by the end of day 3 due to not enough charge time at night with 5 amps per bank. Next one will be a MK-220D if this one ever dies or I get a good deal on a new one.
