Hey guys I’m just doing a little pre planning for next ice season. I was reading on some of elite 5s and hds units and they say 5 to 120 degrees operating temp. Would humminbird units have a similar operating temps. Does anyone use any of these units in subzero temperatures for there gps capabilities? Just wondering thanks

I use my 597 for ice fishing too, I have not used it outside but when pulled of the wheeler and started fishing in the shack never had a problem with it.

I use my Elite 5 in the winter for ice fishing as well. I mounted it to a genz pack and covered it with a soft case from vexilar. I only use it for the lakemaster and gps but ive never had any issues with it, even up on red in -40 wind chill. ….Id say go for it!
