I use a Frabill power lock with the rubber basket that way rapalas don’t stick in the net.
When I went looking for a musky net, my son and I went to gander mountin he was 2 1/2 at the time. I picked him up with the frabil and it bent and stayed bent, then I picked him up with the beckman and it flexed but never bent. BECKMAN ALL THE WAY
That Beckman you have picked out will do right by you for a loooooong time. I’m not so sure I’d even attempt to corral a big ‘ol Lake Sturgeon in it though…..
For walleyes I use a Frabill with an extendable handle but for muskies I still have, love, and wouldn’t trade – the first Beckman I ever bought.
I have a frabil conservation series and I really like the bag.
Had a spring break in the extending handle and the customer service to get it replaced was excellent! The sent me a couple of 2 differnt springs to make sure I got the right one.
My experiences have replicated the others with the Beckman’s v. the Frabills. I picked up a 45# king with one and it didn’t bend. They are wonderful nets.
All of that said, i’d not get the smaller walleye net, but the larger salmon/musky net BT304263. In the end you’ll be happy. They are a pain to deal with in the truck and boat, but the one day you need it is the day you’ll be VERY happy you endured all the other days…
Great nets. i’ll never be without a beckman.
Besides, if you’ve got the bigger net, BK will take you out cat’n…
this is the exact net i got, with recommendations from Dean and Brian.

I got it for cats and eyes. now, i will say, i have resorted back to a smaller lighter net for strictly walleye fishing, but for a “multi-species” night this is my net. and it is my net for flatheads, which i do more of than anything else.
It has been big enough to swallow up numerous flatheads over 40 lbs, with no issues whatsoever!
and make sure you get the one with the extendable handle, well worth it!
plus i like the hook proof bag, and the flat bottom design.
That is what I have. Love it. If i dropped it in the lake I would buy another tomorrow.
One recommendation, Often Lindy (a sister company) has the handles on their website. I bought another 6′ dirt cheap and cut it shorter to 4.5′. I like the shorter at times when corkin.
I use this very net…love the extension handle and rugged built parts.
Have same net love it. 60 lb cats too. Make sure you get the coated net or raps get in it for good.
Same net I have. Excellent. Cuts through the water really well. Worked great on big Erie eyes.

I use a stowmaster! Great if you are limited on room and need to get it out of the way between fish. Folds up and slides in just about anywhere. I believe I have the 40″ sized one, that will hold 30+” wallyes and 40″ pike no problem, trust me!
I have 2 Stowmasters and would never have any other brand. Love them!
I have 2 Beckmans. One for regular walleye/pike fishing and one for salmon/musky sized fish. Its the only brand I have evern owned.
Another vote for stowmaster!!!
I have been using one for years and love it. I don’t have a space issue in my Ranger but I really like being able to fold it up so it is out of the way while fishing. I don’t use it very often only in rough water and on eyes/pike too big to easily hand land.
The way this one is holding up after 6-7 years of hard use….I won’t ever have to buy another net.
