I have the float part. I recommend buying from a retailer and not the mfg.

holy moly that float-tech commercial is the best life-jacket commercial Ive seen in a while.

anyway…I’m definitely looking for a jacket not a vest…kind of like what you’d get if you crossed a PFD with the SnoSuit or Ice Armour Jackets….I see mustang has something that looks close and wondering if anyone has gone all out for one of these or similar. The yellow jackets that BK carries look a bit light…true?

Take a look at Artic Armor. I know you can check it out on my Buddys website

This stuff is pretty light for a float coat. But designed for ice fishing. The next step under that would be the Float-TEch coat with auto inflate vest liner. Pretty light setup but sounds like you want something that floats on its ownw without mechanical intervention?

I don’t think AA is USCG approved for flotation. Need one that is…

I have a couple of the old school Stearn’s Float Coat. They are a bit bulky but you get used to them rapidly. Very very warm and dry. Once you are used to them you can comfortably hunt/shoot ducks in them. Most of my buddies have the same coats.

I’m wearing the most modern one (purchased 2005) in this picture.
