Bought a few spools of this to use as leader material. Anyone tried it?? Is the claim of ‘invisibility’ legit??

It sure didn’t spook any of the Browns I caught in Jan on Blades in Lake Mich!

Unless you want to use a white rope to tie your lures on, then get it, it isn’t clear at all. Its pure white, checked it out myself. It isn’t a line, its thread material, so there is no way it can be translucent, therefore, no way it can be clear…

Not sure how an angler would tie knots with an invisible line.

Is it invisible underwater? Nope. I can see it, so can the fish. Now is it good line? Absolutely. I fished with it exclusively up on Rainy this past week. I used the 4# diameter variety. It is incredibly strong and wears much better than Fireline and has no wind knot issues like the Power Pro Chris was fishing.

Overall I’d give it high marks. But invisible = no. I’ve attached a pic from Rainy. In moving water or fisheries with some stain in the water line visibility is just not an issue in my opinion.

I have no quarrel with the line, I love it, I use it on a couple of my baitcasters. Although, if one is going for invisible line, this isn’t it.

Yup. If low vis underwater is the goal, flourocarbon is still likely the best bet.

Using 832 reminds a guy just how far behind fireline has fallen in the development and improvement of braided / no-stretch lines.

You’re concerned about this because maybe walleyes will see the line? The same walleye that swims into gill nets and eats plastic baits with 2 or 3 treble hooks hanging off of it? If they can see a white thread, then they can see the gill nets and they sure can see hooks and split rings hanging off of a suspended husky jerk, yet still eat it.

I don’t believe in the necessity of clear lines anymore for walleyes.
