Has anyone installed the Stay n’ Charge/ Tow n’ Charge charging system? This system will charge all your boat batteries while under power and will charge off of your car battery while you are towing your boat.

I will be interested in the response. I’ve heard about these units and looked at the website, but I can’t get a clear picture of 2 issues:
1. With the tow and charge, what is the charge rate? 5 AHr? 20 AHr? To me this matters a lot, because a slow rate of charge makes it practically useless. I’d want a pretty fast rate of charge, probably >20 AHr so that it would be feasable to top up the batteries in pretty short order.
2. Is there a shutoff that turns off the power when the battery reaches full charge?
Interested in hearing from anyone who has this installed.

I have had it on my 2005 Lund (and Truck) from day one, and it works just as advertised, and is very easy to install. The owner, Jim Payne, was great to work with and answered all my questions. I’m actually still on my orignal starting battery from ’05 and just replaced the 2 TM batteries last fall. I believe that the Stay-n-charge, has helped extend the battery life. I can use the TM all day and haven’t run out of battery juice yet.
